The medicinal herb- Thuthuvalai
Thuthuvalai offers medicinal benefits, and we use its leaves to prepare various dishes. Though thorny, many grow this herb in their kitchen gardens to make Rasam. The plant also produces tiny purple flowers and belongs to the category of creepers.
Rasam to Soupย ย
You can serve the instant mix in two formsโeither as a regular Rasam or as a soup. In order to prepare the healthy rasam, all you have to do is add 100 gms of Thuthuvalai Rasam Mix (approximately 1/3 of mix in the bottle) to 1 liter of water and boil it for 7-10 minutes. Stir it well till it reaches the boiling stage with the right consistency and aroma and can be accompanied with rice. Else, boiling the same for longer to arrive in the consistency of a soup is another alternative.
Best with steamed rice
If you are a Rasam lover, then having it with steamed rice, with a gallop of ghee and an Appalam would make it the best, with no regrets, as it comes as a health pack that can cure a cold, indigestion, and cough! To make it look attractive while serving, garnishing these with Coriander leaves can be perfect!
